Hi! I’m Melanie.
What I love most about design is that it is ever-changing. I love being a part of a field that is always trying to break new ground, finding new styles & trends, pushing me to be my most creative. I am an observer, and through this innate quality I take my environment in – whether it’s a new restaurant, a daring fashion trend, or a country I’ve never been before – I take mental snapshots and apply them to design.
My family is the most important thing to me. I live in a house full of boys – my kids are 8 & 11 and they keep me busy and young, playing soccer, swimming and skateboarding with them when I can. I enjoy traveling, especially when it’s outside of the country, because I love learning about different cultures and meeting a wide variety of people. I also have a passion for music, especially down tempo and eclectic producers. I am also very interested in fashion, because I feel it is a way for every individual to express themselves.
